Start with the load
Measure the goods as they will sit on the pallet. Record the footprint, total weight and how the weight is distributed. A pallet supporting evenly packed cartons is a different enquiry from a pallet carrying equipment with concentrated support points.
Compare the complete use case
Wooden pallets can be discussed in block, stringer and custom constructions. Plastic pallets include covered-deck, open-deck, nestable and rackable designs. Choose around handling equipment, cleaning needs, reuse and the storage arrangement rather than material alone.
Describe floor, stack and rack use separately
Tell the supplier whether the pallet stays on a floor, is stacked with other loads or sits on a rack. Include support positions and rack span where relevant. Ask for the design and load requirements to be confirmed for the intended application; a single capacity figure does not describe every use.
Check the route and delivery
For an export shipment, identify the destination, buyer requirements and complete packaging materials. For supply within Pakistan, include the delivery city, exact address, quantity and date. Handling access and unloading arrangements belong in the same enquiry.
Prepare an actionable enquiry
Include pallet length and width, quantity, goods, weight distribution, entry requirements, reuse conditions and destination. Photographs or a simple load sketch can help explain a requirement that is difficult to describe in words.
