Reversible wooden pallets are designed with equivalent load-bearing decks on both faces. The upper and lower board arrangements and supporting members need to be specified together so either face can serve as the operating deck. This construction differs from a double-deck pallet whose lower boards are only part of the base. Explain why the operation needs either-face use and provide the goods and support conditions. Both decks should be covered by the load and construction specification.

What makes a pallet reversible?

Both faces are specified as equivalent load-bearing decks, allowing either face to be used for the load under the agreed conditions.

Does a bottom deck automatically make a pallet reversible?

No. Bottom boards may form a base without matching the top load deck. Reversibility is a separate design requirement.
